KoreaProxy.com ("we", "this site") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use these only to respond and do not add you to any mailing list.

Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page, and timestamps. These are used for security and to keep the site running, and are retained only as long as operationally necessary.

Cookies and advertising

This site sets no cookies. We do not run advertising, and there are no third-party advertising or tracking scripts on any page. Nothing we serve reads or writes cookies, local storage, or any other identifier on your device.

Two third parties do receive a request when you load a page, and neither is used for advertising. Google Fonts serves the typefaces, and our page-check tool at /tools/korean-ip-checker.html asks a geolocation service for your IP's location — that request goes from your browser to them directly, and the tool's own page explains it before you use it.

Analytics

We count page views using our own software, running on our own server. There is no third-party analytics provider, no account linked to any advertising network, and no cookie.

For each page view we record: the path you visited, the host name of the site that linked you here (the host only, never the full address), how many seconds you stayed, whether you scrolled, a coarse device class (mobile, tablet or desktop), the page's language, and your country when our host reports it.

We do not store your IP address. To tell one visit from another within a single day, we store a short one-way hash of your IP address and browser, salted with a secret that never leaves our server and mixed with the current date. It cannot be reversed to identify you, it cannot be matched against any other website's data, and because the date is part of it, yesterday's hash and today's are unrelated. We build no profiles and follow no one between visits.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we record nothing at all.

These records are not published, not shared, and not readable over the web. We use them only to see which articles are worth writing more of.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Data may be disclosed only if required by law.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@koreaproxy.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
